Controls

You use the left mouse button to drag and drop cards onto the workspace. It sounds simple, but honestly, the controls are stiff. Took me a minute to realize you can’t just click; you have to hold and drag the unit card exactly where you want it to deploy.

What is Battle of the Planets?

This is a quick card strategy game where you build a base and blow up enemy planets. You drag cards onto a 3D board to spawn units that automatically march toward the enemy base. You don't control the troops directly, just the placement and timing. If the enemy planet blows up before yours does, you win. You'll probably like this if you want fast, bite-sized strategy games without long tutorials. It’s strictly desktop, so if you prefer tapping on a phone screen, this isn't for you. The rounds go super fast, so it fits well if you only have a few minutes.

How to Play Battle of the Planets

You start a match and have about one minute to end it. You get a hand of cards, drag them onto the board with your mouse, and your units spawn. They walk forward and shoot at anything in range. You drop resource buildings to get more cards or offensive units to rush the enemy. You’re trying to crack their defenses while protecting your own planet. The session ends really quickly, sometimes in 30 seconds if someone rushes. You have to pay attention to your energy bar. It’s annoying when you try to drop a tank and realize you’re 5 points short of energy. There isn't much time to recover from that mistake.

Battle of the Planets Key Features

Matches last exactly one minute.
Pure drag-and-drop mouse controls.
3D space graphics for the battlefield.
Full PvP against other players.
3D units fight automatically once placed.

Why Choose Battle of the Planets

Pick this if you’re tired of slow strategy games that take forever to finish. The 1-minute timer forces you to be aggressive instead of turtling. It’s not super deep, but the quick rounds make it addictive. However, the mouse controls can be finicky when you’re in a rush.

Battle of the Planets Pro Tips

1Don't place defensive cards at the very back, put them closer to the middle.
2Keep an eye on the energy bar so you don't get stuck unable to play a card.
3Rush the enemy planet early if they don't have units down yet.
4I messed up by building too many turrets and forgot to spawn attackers.
5Use resource cards first to keep your hand full of options.
