What is Deep Delve?
You run around in a 2D pixel world with a pickaxe, digging through dirt and rock to collect ores and treasure. There are 12 different underground areas you work through, starting in grassy fields and eventually reaching volcanic depths. You grab resources, sell them at the shop on your base, and pick up upgrades that let you mine harder stuff faster. If you like Minecraft-style mining but don't want a full survival game, this scratches that itch. It's good for short sessions too. Skip it if you need a story or something with real combat — this is pretty chill and mostly about the digging loop.

How to Play Deep Delve
A typical run starts at your base, you stock up or check the shop, then head off in a direction and start digging down. You'll hit different ores at different depths, and the first 5 minutes are pretty easy since the top layers are mostly dirt and soft stone. Around the 15-minute mark you'll probably need better tools, so backtrack and sell what you found. One thing that tripped me up: I kept mining without checking what the upgrades actually did. The pickaxe upgrades matter way more than I expected, and I wasted time on cosmetic stuff first. Also, the shop only opens when you're literally standing on the base block, which sounds obvious but you'll try opening it mid-dig a few times.

Why Choose Deep Delve
Most browser mining games are either too simple or try way too hard to be Minecraft-lite. Deep Delve sits in a nice middle spot — enough depth that you actually want to keep digging, but not so much that you need a wiki. The 12 worlds give you stuff to work toward. Weakness? It's mobile-tagged but honestly feels better on desktop, and the early hours can feel a bit slow before upgrades kick in.
