What is Captain Blast?
Captain Blast drops you into a match-3 puzzle where you click clusters of same-colored blocks to clear them. The catch is you need at least 2 connected blocks to make a match, so lazy clicking won't cut it. The game throws 4,800 levels at you, each one a little more stubborn than the last. Early stages feel almost too easy, but around level 15 the difficulty spikes hard and you'll find yourself rethinking your whole approach. If you're the type who enjoys puzzling out the optimal move before committing, you'll get a lot out of this. It's not for players who want to blaze through games — each level asks you to think, and some will seriously test your patience.

How to Play Captain Blast
You start each level with a grid of colored blocks and one goal: clear them all. Click any group of 2+ same-colored blocks touching each other, and they vanish. More blocks in the match means more points and usually a cleaner board. Each level takes about 3-5 minutes once you get the hang of it, though the tricky ones will eat up more time than you'd like to admit. Here's the thing — early on you're probably going to get cocky and just click whatever looks good. Turns out that's a fast way to leave yourself with an unworkable board. Take an extra second to scan the whole grid before you commit. Also, the spacebar pauses the action if you need a breather, and holding the mouse button shows you what matches are available without actually making one.

Why Choose Captain Blast
Captain Blast has the numbers on its side — 4,800 levels is way more than most match-3 games you'll find in a browser. The progression feels steady, and once you get past the first 20 levels you start to appreciate how much thought went into the level design. The trade-off? It's strictly single-player and there's no online leaderboard, so you're only competing against yourself. If you want a game that respects your time and brain without trying to sell you upgrades every 5 minutes, this one earns its spot on your bookmark bar.
