Western Sniper - A Wild West Shooting Game Worth Trying?

You play a sharpshooter out in the Wild West, and your job is simple: line up your shot and take down targets before they get you. It's a 3D sniper game where you click to fire, and each round throws different mission setups at you. The whole gunslinger thing is fun if you like quick aim-and-shoot action without a bunch of menus getting in the way. Fans of point-and-click shooters will probably dig it, and mobile players used to tap-to-shoot controls should feel right at home on desktop too. If you're after a deep story mode or a ranked multiplayer scene, this isn't gonna cut it. It's a one-player mission game, plain and simple - good for killing a few minutes between other stuff.

You load in, pick a mission, and start clicking. Most rounds last just a few minutes once you get the hang of where targets pop up. First few levels are basically target practice with standing still, but later ones throw moving enemies at you. Don't waste ammo early - I burned through half my shots in the first mission panicking at stuff that wasn't even a threat yet. The mouse sensitivity feels a touch fast at first but you'll adapt. Each mission gives you a target count and a time-ish goal. Realistic to knock out a mission in 2-3 minutes once you know the angles. There isn't a real tutorial either, so you'll figure out headshot bonuses and bonus targets by accident, which is kinda annoying but fine.

Western Sniper won't win any game of the year awards, but it's a solid time-waster when you've got nothing else going. Compared to bigger browser snipers like Sniper Team, this one feels lighter and more arcade-y. The Western theme gives it some charm, even if the gameplay loop is pretty basic.
