What is Fortress Merge?
This is a mix of castle defense and match-3 puzzles. You drag same-type buildings together to merge them into stronger defenses, then watch your little fort hold off waves of cartoon monsters. It's not just clicking; you have to manage space and plan your merges or you get overrun fast. Fans of simple strategy games or auto-battlers will probably dig this. It calls itself an 'addictive obsession,' which is marketing hype, but it does hook you for short bursts. If you want deep strategy or high-end graphics, this isn't it.

How to Play Fortress Merge
A round starts with a few basic buildings and a clear grid. You have to drag identical structures on top of each other to upgrade them before the enemies hit. You get a couple of minutes to prep, then the monsters start walking in. You keep merging and rearranging while the battle happens. I messed up my first run by spreading everything too thin. You really need to cluster your strongest towers near the entrance or the wall breaches. A single match takes about 5 minutes, but if you survive long enough, the waves get chaotic around level 10.

Why Choose Fortress Merge
Pick this if you want a simple game you can play while watching YouTube. It's way easier to learn than a full RTS, but it's not mindless. The merge mechanic keeps you moving, though the difficulty spikes pretty hard.
